We believe that innovation is the key to development. For this reason, we actively collaborate with academic research (e.g. Institut Telecom, LRI), research institutes (e.g. CEA, Fraunhofer, SINTEF) and industrial
corporate R&D centers (e.g. Orange, Alcatel-Lucent, TXT). This in order to better define the future of software engineering and networks.
Montimage is member of the “World class” French Cluster, System@tic PARIS-REGION, and participates in several research projects including:
- MEVICO: (Mobile Networks Evolution for Individual Communications Experience) is an European research project dealing with the network aspects of the 3GPP LTE-mobile broadband network for its evolution in the mid-term in 2011-2014. The goal is to contribute to the technical drive and leadership of the EPC network (3GPP), and thus support the European industry to maintain and extend its strong technical and market position in the mobile networks market. The results can be used as contributions for further development of the 3GPP standard on EPC in Rel11-Rel13. The technical research areas of the project cover relevant topics in the areas of network architecture, mobility & routing, packet transport, traffic management, network management & engineering and techno-economic aspects. The project includes both conceptual research and demo/trial system implementations. MEVICO brings together partners from the network domain such as: Nokia Siemens Networks, Alcatel-Lucent, France Telecom Orange Group, Commissariat à l’Energie Atomique (CEA), Ericsson AB, Montimage, etc.
- DIAMONDS:: (Development and Industrial Application of Multi-Domain Security Testing Technologies) is an ITEA-2 project. This european project will leverage systematic, model-based testing and monitoring approaches for security testing to enable highly secure systems by early testing and test automation. Advanced model-based security testing methods will allow the early identification of design vulnerabilities and efficient system/test design targeting security aspects. The DIAMONDS security test methodology will be adaptable to different multi-domain security standards, and enable a risk analysis-oriented test generation and risk assessments by evaluation of the test results. DIAMONDS will develop a well-visible European security test methodology of industrial scale, which demonstrates to be successful for security-critical systems in different application domains.
Project partners are: Thales, Gemalto, Montimage, Smartesting, FSCOM, Get IT, Grenoble INP (France), Fraunhofer FOKUS, Giesecke & Devrient, Dornier Consulting, Testing Technologies (Germany) VTT, Ericsson, Codenomicon, University Oulu, Conformiq, Metso (Finland) SINTEF, Norse Solutions (Norway) Secure Business Applications, TU Graz (Austria) et itrust, Uni Luxembourg (Luxembourg).
- PIMI:: (Personal Information Management through Internet) is an ANR project (VERSO 2010 program).
The objectives of the PIMI project are the definition of a design environment and a deployment platform for Personal Information Management System (PIMS).
The future PIMS must provide the end user personal data access with services that are relevant to his needs.
The economic opportunities are important: the e-service market expects a way to integrate naturally heterogeneous e-services in a smart way including electronic trust, service composition, QoS/QoE and with an easy access (ergonomic and usable).
Project partners are: GENIGRAPH, l'INRIA, le LRI, l'Institut Telecom, Montimage et l'IRIT.
